Our drone group is taking to the skies in Iceland, again, in July of 2025. Our stellar Iceland guide, Siggi, has come up with an entirely new itinerary to put us in exciting places to design drone-art like we've never seen before.

For the most part, we’ll avoid places where normal tours go, instead finding ourselves well away from the beaten paths.  Those locations, plus our ability to “see” the scenes from unique positions will unveil exciting waterfalls…

Volcanic craters…

Thermal features…

Geological formations…

Rivers…

Shorelines and offshore rock formations

And abstract patterns!

You can “find the art” in angles, patterns, designs, colors and more!

We fully recognize that sometimes weather conditions (think wind and rain in Iceland) “ground” the drones.  We have designed this adventure in a way that gives us options for exciting conventional photography when drone flying is not advised.

Drones arrived rapidly on the planet, catching those who manage public places and resources off guard, and leaving drone pilots without guidelines for operation that took in the safety and well-being of people, animals, and other resources.  Bad judgements and negative impacts have, recently, reduced the opportunity for drone photography, planet wide.  This adventure complies with local laws and has secured appropriate licenses to give you unique opportunities that simply don’t exist in most places.

Most of the drone images on this page were created by Siggi, our Icelandic guide, and a quite capable photographer who has published photography books on Iceland and was recognized for his outstanding image of a volcanic eruption and lightning!

So many birds! Such good photography opportunities. So little physical effort required. Forty percent of the planet's hummingbirds are found in Ecuador. Thirty-seven percent of the tanagers (which don't show up in the Old World at all). Conservation has teamed up with landowners to protect natural cloudforest habitats - and the result is birds sitting on branches predictably in a way you can photograph them. Did we mention Cock-of-the-rock? Or mountain tourcan? Small group so secure your space before it is gone!
