Explore... Learn... Create... Small group custom tours

Welcome to Nature Photography Adventures. We are focused on designing and guiding small group nature photography adventures and teaching photography techniques.

Nature photographers Bob Harvey and Diane Kelsay guide small groups of photographers to exciting and unique natural, cultural and heritage destinations all over the world. Our photography adventures strive to achieve a balance among wildlife, landscape, abstract, and macro photography - seeking the best each destination has to offer. You'll note that we love dramatic light and know how to use it!

Our adventures feature one-on-one coaching in the field to full instruction on taking control of the design and technical approaches to creating images.

We bring an extensive history and knowledge base to the photographic discussion and have a unique relationship with the tourism industry that enables us to design exciting adventures around the "moments" we nature photographers seek. The photography adventures on this site are truly photography adventures designed by photographers for photographers.

Join us for an exciting nature photography adventure, bring home outstanding images, and improve your ability to capture the wonders of nature in still images.

Join us in Brazil's Pantanal in August of 2025.

The Pantanal is a humongus wetland - the only place in the world where one can reliably find and photograph jaguars during the daylight hours.

But also a fantastic place to photograph a wide variety of birds - many catching fish!

We'll find the jabiru stork, the largest flying bird in the Americas and the giant river otter - both drawn here by the abundance of habitat and fish!

Check out more images and the details here and secure your space now!

So many birds! Such good photography opportunities. So little physical effort required. Forty percent of the planet's hummingbirds are found in Ecuador. Thirty-seven percent of the tanagers (which don't show up in the Old World at all). Conservation has teamed up with landowners to protect natural cloudforest habitats - and the result is birds sitting on branches predictably in a way you can photograph them. Did we mention Cock-of-the-rock? Or mountain tourcan? Small group so secure your space before it is gone!
